Course Overview

Have you ever wondered why a soda can doesn’t naturally explode from pressure? That question is answered by the concept of equilibrium! Chemical equilibrium occurs when the rate of formation and destruction in a reaction are equal. In the case of the soda can, the formation and destruction of CO2 are equal. This lesson covers how the concept of chemical equilibrium, Le Chatelier’s principle, equilibrium constants, and how to solve for equilibrium constants.
